White smoke exhaust in bioost evom5/5/2023 I plan on setting an appointment up with Sean Ivey to get my car retuned and get bigger injectors and fuel pump put in, and I may have him diagnose this problem and fix it, but figured I would see what insight you guys can give me. It doesnt stay its more like a temporary thing. If i give the car some gas I can get the smoke to stop. Not trying to scare you just seems logical with a gt40 and presumibly a stock block. I only seem to get serious white smoke if I was driving and stop somewhere, and then start the car up again within 1 hour. Start the car remove the oilcap, if there is any smoke, grey, white or blue you may have a problem, do a compression leakdown test. so if the turbocharger is damaged or there is a boost leak from a pipe (and some of the air is. If i start my car up in the AM on a cold start, I dont seem to get any smoke either, atleast not enough to see in my mirrors. Causes Of White Exhaust Smoke 1) Coolant Leak If there is a leak in the coolant tank, the coolant liquid makes its way into the fuel system. Smoke from exhaust: what does exhaust smoke mean. What I mean by that is, if I am driving for a while, and stop at a red light, i dont get any smoke. To expand, I only seem to get white smoke on a warm start. How hard are they to get at, does the turbo need to be pulled to check them? The smoke isnt thick and goes away quick. Now, my thought on this is maybe it has nothing to do with the engine, but since the engine was pulled, is it possible my oil lines to my turbo when pulled caused damage to the turbo oil seals? Could I be leaking oil through there and burning through there? On my way home I noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust when it would go into boost. My understanding is white smoke is oil, and I check my oil on the regular, and after about 2500 miles, I do burn off about a quart of oil, but I dont need to top it off or havent had to in the last few oil changes, so I guess I am not burning that much. and I didnt have this issue before the rebuild. However, since day 1 of getting my car back, I have had some white smoke coming out of my exaust. I trust the guy who rebuilt my motor, and surprisingly for having the motor pulled, have had no issues really. The Car is strong, stronger than before the rebuild. OK, so I have an evo X and had the motor rebuilt a few months ago.
